Three shop teachers walked into a kitchen and changed the world. Claus Gerlach, Terry Bigsby and Bob Bigsby, all from Vernon, BC, set up shop in Bigsby’s kitchen creating wooden cutlery. A little creative thinking, plenty of hard work and a few burnt oven mitts later, the first laminated utensils popped out of the press. This ultimate wooden cutlery can cut a steak and pierce a raw carrot. More than five years of tinkering produced these beautiful pieces. WÜN is an icon of hope. A made in BC bio-degradeable solution to the billions of plastic knives, forks and spoons that end up in the landfill each year. This cutlery is engineered to perform and can be re-used. We like to think of it as ‘WÜN’ step in the right direction.
