These 100% organic, natural cotton Stuffies are the delightful product of a truly international collaboration spearheaded by Volker Senger. Senger along with an International Development organization have helped Peruvian farmers plant organically grown cotton to replace coca crops. The cotton is then woven into cloth by a Peruvian workers cooperative. From Peru, the cotton cloth travels to Mexico city where Senger, with the help of a grant from the German Government, has built a home for disadvantaged women. The home offers a refuge for the women as well as educational and vocational programs. Pure and Natural Stuffed Animals are the product of this program, handcrafted with care and pride. These stuffed animals are made entirely of 100% organic cotton. No dyes or colourants have been used. They are machine washable and completely baby safe. When, after years of play they are ready for retirement, they may be placed in the compost to bio-degrade. Available in Canada at:
