These Passenger Pigeon dresses were designed by Wendy Traas. The black ‘Yvonne’ dress is made with 100% Bamboo voile and lined with 100% silk, the pink ‘Lori’ dress is made from an organic cotton/hemp/silk blend. We avoid synthetics as much as possible, for they take so long to break down. All of our garments are made sweat-shop free in Toronto, Canada. All imagery is drawn, then screen-printed by hand by Heather Schibli with water-based inks. 80% of our scraps are reused for paper production, or to make reusable tote bags and undies. All our packaging is reused. All our business cards, tags, postcards, etc. are made from 100% post consumer paper and FSC certified. Our organic cottons are SKAL certified. Travel within Toronto is done by bicycle or public transit (i.e. dropping off fabrics to our sewers).
