Brent Comber Originals ensures that our wood sourcing has minimal or no negative impact on the environment. We partner with individuals, sawmills, and manufacturers that share our vision and assist us in sourcing local fallen or already-harvested wood that we can bring to its full potential. For example, we have partners in the field who purchase Douglas fir to make veneer. They sell their off-cuts to us, which we in turn use to produce our solid wood furniture. The off-cuts from that process are used to make our Shattered collection, and anything left over gets chipped at a compost facility and returned to the soil.
