NECKLACE AND RING

Kirsten Muenster Jewelry
San Francisco, USA

Kirsten believes that it is possible to have a beautifully designed piece of jewelry made with interesting materials whose cultivation does not fund corrupt organizations or promote unfair labor practices.

Incorporating found, recycled and vintage objects into her work is a natural part of Kirsten’s construction process. She uses 100% recycled metal, vintage parts and unique, recycled industrial byproducts in addition to agates, jaspers, and ethically sourced stones.

The necklace is made from recycled sterling silver, repurposed vintage chains, vintage metal button, druzy quartz, recycled copper firebrick and willow creek jasper. The ring is crafted from recycled sterling silver and recycled copper firebrick.

The copper fire brick used in these pieces is a by-product of the copper smelting process. It consists of copper that stuck to the firebrick walls of the smelters in copper ore processing plants. Most of these smelters are no longer in operation.

Kirsten's packaging, business cards and postcards are made from 100% post consumer paper and vegetable based inks.
