The 'jack&marjorie' line of bags is crated primarily from recycled military surplus materials such as cotton tents, parachutes, hardware, suspenders, duffle bags and rifle slings. Linigs are made from certified organic cotton. Any leather used is either repuposed, or vegetable-tanned, which is less harmful to the environment than chromium-tanned leather. jack&marjorie go to great lengths to use every part of the surplus material they recycle in order to reduce waste and any unused part are saved for use on future designs. Imperfections found on the original materials are intentionally included - not only to minimize waste, but also because these elements add to the character of the bag.
