PINE FIBRE LINGERIE

Sophie Young - g=9.8*
Clamart, France

g=9.8* recycled pine fiber lingerie has the touch of cashmere with the comfort of silk. In their search for the greenest fabric available, g=9.8* came to believe that pine fiber is one of the most eco-friendly materials around. It is derived from sustainably planted and harvested forests and the transformation of this material from tree, to fibre, to fabric is respectful of the environment. Instead of using harmful chemicals to transform the wood into fiber, a biological oxidation process utilizing enzymes is employed, similar to the process used in making beer.

g=9.8* lingerie carries the Oekotex standard 100 (non irritant and non allergenic) certification and like other natural fibre fabrics it breathes and regulates body temperature very well.

g=9.8*’s commitment to sustainability extends into all aspects of their business. They design and make their lingerie in France drawing on local tradition and skills. Packaging for g=9.8* consists of reusable clutch bags made of silk or recycled materials and transportation is by train whenever possible.
